TO THE CAB
Brad’s a Whangārei local who’s swapped the chef’s kitchen for a 5‑ton digger, and he wouldn’t have it any other way.
After more than 15 years knocking around Northland in different contracting roles, he decided it was time to back himself and launched Carve Earthworks in 2024 – and he hasn’t looked back.
These days you’ll find him based in Parua Bay, running a no‑nonsense, owner‑operated earthworks outfit that’s all about solid groundwork done properly the first time. Brad’s pretty particular about how things are done; whether it’s a tight site cut, a new driveway, or shaping a tricky coastal section, he’d rather spend the extra hour now than have you calling him back later.
Away from the dirt, Brad heads south a couple of times a year to chase snow with his partner, Charlotte, and then comes home to hang out with their daughter and much‑loved grandson.
